Chapter 6: Curacao Hosts Public Events in Tucson
Executives at Curacao department stores hosted two events in Tucson, Arizona recently, educating the metropolitan community about the advantages of using social media as a popular and affective technique of communication, as well as a separate forum to inform audiences about public assistance options.
The Social Media Workshop, presented by Katie Main, Social Media Director at full-service digital agency Mineral, included analytical statistics about the latest social media outlets, as well as insights as to how each of these platforms can be utilized to generate online interest and conversations from particular demographics and target audiences. The presentation also provided information about the ways educators can use social media as a supplement to classroom lessons and lectures, engaging students in appropriate scholastic discussions and teaching them about technology.
The Community Assistance Forum, held the same day, offered information about Curacao’s donation programs in the Tucson area. Curacao’s “Community Assistance Program” (CAP) allows organizations to register with the company, and refer low-income families within a 10-mile radius of a Curacao department store to receive assistance in obtaining household necessities, such as beds and cribs, stoves and refrigerators, and sofas and dining sets.
Curacao is continually developing new ways to reach out to the Tucson community through charitable acts and education forums, providing assistance to the neighborhoods surrounding its stores. To learn more about Curacao stores, visit www.icuracao.com
