Question: What Kind Of Stain Should Be Used On A Hardwood Deck?
Answer: All of our materials such as Ipe, Batu, Cumaru, Tigerwood and Garapa are very dense compared to other woods. Due to their density, they do not take stains very well. Instead, we sell an Ipe oil that provides a UV protection and gives the wood a wet appearance. Since the Ipe oil has no pigment, it allows the wood to maintain its original color.
