Question: How Did Discover African Art Get Started?
Answer: While attending a concert at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR, owner Dave Dahl saw a few large African masks on the wall and was entranced by them. Soon after, he discovered an African mask at a garage sale and bought it. He began collecting all types of African masks, statues and textiles and now has one of the largest collections of African art in the United States.
