Portland Storefront: Our office is located in a Historic Portland Home on SE Division Street, a part of Portland that provides inspiration for the writers of Portlandia. From our offices we can easily walk to about 15 food carts, numerous restaurants, the best country bar with outdoor patio in town, Portland’s favorite tattoo and piercing parlors, a motorcycle repair shop and the very first Stumptown Coffee.
Company History: The company was founded in 2007 by Cherie Collins under the name HomeSpun Websites. In 2008, Jeff Bailey joined the team and together they built an easy to use content management system, with the intention to make websites affordable, fun and accessible to small business owners. We wanted to make it easy and add a feminine touch to building a website. The company succeeded in attracting one small business owner after another and built the business on referrals. Our clients loved the web builder and our websites did extremely well in the search engines. In 2012 we were contacted by CharTec Academy with a Network of a few hundred Managed Service Providers. CharTec was impressed with the Companies Web Builder and the overall team. They asked us to educated their network on how to offer websites as part of a managed service agreement and invited us to wholesale our web development services through their network. We then created the brand Stellaractive for our higher end websites and for our wholesale website division. In less than a year the company grew a network of wholesale partners to more than 200 VARS and MSPs. With new demands, the new Stellaractive added custom development services to iinclude custom cake php projects and full scale ecommerce websites. By 2014, the company grew to 9 full time developers, designers, and project managers and maintained more than 500 websites.
